Cameco Corporation and Brookfield Renewable Partners, together with its institutional partners (the consortium), are forming a strategic partnership to acquire Westinghouse Electric Company. Brookfield Renewable, with its institutional partners, will own a 51% interest in Westinghouse and Cameco will own 49%.

The Jordan Atomic Energy Commission (JAEC) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with X-energy to assess the US company's small modular reactor (SMR). They will look at the potential deployment of X-energy's Xe-100 high temperature gas-cooled pebble bed modular reactor in Jordan.

Russia has removed highly-enriched irradiated liquid nuclear fuel from Uzbekistan's IIN-3M research reactor. Moscow-based Sosny, which develops technologies for the preparation of used nuclear fuel for reprocessing or storage, said the shipment was completed on 24 September.
