Alstom has opened a new $300 million production facility in Tennessee to supply steam turbines, gas turbines, large turbo-generators and related equipment for the North American fossil fuel and nuclear power generation market. The factory, which will create 350 jobs, will also be used to retrofit existing steam turbines.
