International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi and other IAEA officials have signed several agreements at the China Atomic Energy Authority (CAEA), during Grossi’s first official visit to China. Grossi met with several high-level officials and visited nuclear facilities and institutions in Beijing, Shanghai and Shandong.

An International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Support and Assistance Mission to Zaporizhzhia (ISAMZ) set out for Ukraine on the evening of 29 August to ensure nuclear safety and security at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP). Earlier that day IAEA Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi wrote on his Twitter page: "The IAEA support and assistance mission is already on its way to the Zaporizhzhia NPP. I am proud to be leading this mission, which will arrive at the ZNPP later this week.” He added that "it is necessary to protect the security of Ukraine and Europe's largest nuclear facility”.

Iranian officials and a visiting European Union (EU) delegation headed by European Union Foreign Policy Chief Federica Mogherini on 16 April signed various memoranda of understanding for cooperation on research. Iran's participation in the EU Horizon 2020 framework programme was also discussed, Iranian media reported. The European commission, and the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) issued a joint statement on cooperation in the peaceful uses of nuclear energy which would include establishment of a regular high-level dialogue meeting once a year (the Framework for Partnership on Nuclear Energy) to review topics of common interest in the nuclear field.
