Westinghouse Electric Company has signed a long-term contract with the Finland's Teollisuuden Voima Oyj (TVO) for in-service inspections of all three reactors at the Olkiluoto nuclear power plant.

GE announced on 4 March that it has been selected by Teollisuuden Voima (TVO) to continue providing maintenance services for Olkiluoto 1&2 in Finland for the duration of the lifetime of the reactors.

The loading of fuel into the core of the Olkiluoto 3 has been delayed until June next year because of slow progress of the system tests and shortcomings in spare part deliveries, the Areva-Siemens consortium has informed Finnish utility Teollisuuden Voima Oyj (TVO). Grid connection of the EPR is now scheduled for November, with the start of regular electricity production expected in March 2021.

Commissioning of the Olkiluoto 3 EPR is now running six weeks behind schedule, the Areva-Siemens consortium has informed Finnish utility Teollisuuden Voima Oyj. The supplier is to provide TVO with a revised schedule for the start-up of the plant next month.

The first eight Westinghouse Triton11 fuel assemblies have been delivered to Finnish utility Teollisuuden Voima Oy's Olkiluoto plant. The new assemblies will be loaded into Olkiluoto 2 during the unit's upcoming outage.
