The World Nuclear Transport Institute (WNTI) appointed a new Secretary General, Henry-Jacques Neau, in February 2011.

The WNTI, voice of the radioactive materials packaging and transport industry, said farewell to Lorne Green, who has retired after 12 years serving WNTI. Neau is the third Secretary General since the Institute was founded in 1998.

Neau previously worked as Director for External Relations at AREVA Business Unit Logistics, as vice president for risks in Areva, and Areva's head of international acceptance of Areva transport and back-end activities.

He participated in the creation and development of WNTI and was a member of the advisory committee for six years before becoming a board director in 2006.

Neau said, "I look forward to working for the World Nuclear Transport Institute and with its 52 Member companies in the promotion of the safe and efficient transport and packaging of radioactive materials. Several important challenges are just ahead of us and, with the support of our members, it is important that the WNTI responds in the most efficient way".
